Scarborough Bridge, Cherry Hill, NJ

Developer Robert Scarborough, as he was turning the beautiful Barclay Farmstead into hundreds of post-war baby-boom tract houses, decided to build a covered bridge across a branch of the Cooper River (so he could extend the road and build more houses).

Scarborough Bridge was dedicated on Valentine's Day, 1959.

Barclay Farmstead, the original farmhouse that gave its name to a 1960's housing development, Barclay Farms. This building is now swallowed up by suburban sprawl, but it is still there, hidden somewhere.
