Cherry tree plantings on Chapel Avenue in Cherry Hill, NJ started on March 17, 1973. Cherry tree plantings have continued every year since the first planting and now exceeds over 1400 cherry trees planted.
Cherry Hill Firefighters continue to plant new cherry trees every year on Chapel Avenue and are the ones responsible for the beauty of the two-mile avenue of blossoming cherry trees.
