Stroll across the Raritan River on a 1870 truss bridge, check out the picturesque falls that span the river and the lovely red mill. Clinton is a very walkable community. Park the car and stroll around. Another great way to see the area is by canoe. Canoes can be rented from the Clinton Canoe Company located at 44 Main Street. The Raritan River is quite docile and presents a relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Just don't head towards the falls!
There is an annual 'Dicken's Days' festival every year the weekend after Thanksgiving. Shopkeepers dress in Victorian clothing, horse and buggy rides, roasted chestnuts, and carolers seranade your as you wander down Main Street. Also, check out the 5&10!
This has become a tradition in our house. Gets you into the Christmas spirit.
You will definitely want to take a walk on Main Street. At the start of Main Street is the Old Mill and falls. There are nice shops along this very short street.
