This steakhouse is open until midnight and is within walking distance from the Fairfield Inn. If you are a guest of the hotel, you receive a 10% discount when you dine here. They have everything from steak, to chicken fingers, to burgers. Prices are moderate and the place is convenient if you are tired from walking all day.
Favorite Dish: I got the sirloin. It was ok, but I am a really picky steak eater. Honestly, I think this is a place to go if it's late, your hungry and you are tired. Its clean, the food is decent, but it isn't anything out of this world. It was perfect for my budget vacation though.
If you are leaving East Rutherford in Search of the Big Apple, the hotel concierge can provide you with a Map. The best thing to do is follow the signs to 3/Lincoln Tunnel.
FYI - right before you go through the Lincoln tunnel you will need to pay a $5.00 toll. You will not pay it on the way back.
Directly Outside the Fairfield Inn you can pick up bus 163. This bus Takes you to the Bus Port Authority in New York City. Specifically it drops you off on 42nd street and you are one block from the infamous time square.
Schedule: The first bus starts at to East Rutherford from NY starts at 7:00 Am and the last Bus back from NY leaves at 1:20am.
Where to Catch: To NY --> Outside the Hotel ** From NY--->Different Gates, you should ask someone at the Port Authority Bus station for help on where to get it. We caught it from Gate 224 during the day (3rd Floor), Gate 418 after 10:00 and Gate 79 for the last 1:20 bus.
Approximate travel time: 20 minutes
IF you are confused do not hesitate to ask the driver if he will stop at the Fairfield Inn. They can announce the exit for you which makes it really easy to get off.
Return travel: If you think you will be leaving NY on the 1:20 am bus, buy your return ticket when you buy your ticket. The people at the bus station won't let you in if you don't have a ticket purchased first. Having the return ticket will save you the possiblity of long lines to buy return tickets.

If you think you will be leaving NY on the 1:20 am bus, buy your return ticket at the same time you buy your first ticket of the day. The people at the bus station won't let you in if you don't have a return ticket purchased. They do this to avoid people sleeping in the station. Having the return ticket will save you the possiblity of long lines to buy return tickets. Also, check out the Gate Information ASAP. You don't want to miss your bus because you keep running to the wrong Gate.
