Theresa's Cafe: Great Breakfast or Lunch

by marca Updated Apr 7, 2014

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Theresa's is located only one block from Main Street. Breakfast or Lunch only. The dining area is rather small but the omlette special(made with 4 eggs) home fries and toast can be easily shared with someone. They brew a good cup of coffee here as well. They have a few tables outside when the weather is nice.

Favorite Dish: The omlette special is always my choice.

Cook to Order: Great place south of town

by marca Updated Apr 3, 2014

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Great place to go for Breakfast or Lunch. Although located in a small strip mall, in warmer weather you can enjoy your meal out back on the patio.

Favorite Dish: My wife and I have been here a few times now for lunch. You can choose from the menu or have the special of the day. The coffee is good here as well.

Viva Mexico: Moved into Turntable Junction

by marca Updated Jan 30, 2014

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

After many years, this restaurant has moved from Broad Street to Turntable Junction. You cannot see it from a car. They have expanded the space that used to be the Crepe n Grill.

Favorite Dish: Since they have moved 'off the beaten path' they must be confident that they can bring enough followers to their new location. Stopped in for lunch while holiday shopping in nearby Liberty Village. My wife is not much into Mexican food but will come here because they can make many entrees 'not spicy'.

The Grill Shack: Small Place but Good Food

by marca Updated Jan 30, 2014

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

My wife and I were there 2 times in a single weekend. That rarely happens. Rather small dining room. Good service. Chef comes out of the kitchen to check on things.

Favorite Dish: We ordered the Shoestring Zucchini strips both times. Ask for extra dipping sauce. Burgers are good as well as the grilled chicken with avocado and black beans

Garden State Salad: Don't be fooled by the Name

by marca Written Feb 23, 2012
    Garden State Salad

At first glance I thought that this place was a vegetarian place due to the name. This very small storefront restaurant serves a selection of salads and wraps for lunch. They are also open for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights.

The wraps are excellent and come with a portion of your choice of one of the fresh salads of the day. The day we visited, the selection was cole slaw, cucumber salad or a German style potato salad. We had to pass on the selection of muffins and other baked goods.

The coffee is also very good.

    Market Roost: Market Roost

by marca Updated Oct 15, 2010

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

    The Market Roost

Our favorite place to go for lunch when we're in town. It is not the cheapest deli but they have good sandwiches and salads. Do not ask for ham and cheese. Instead they have Black Forest ham and Le Marechal a Gruyere with couscous on the side. The coffee is good also.

They are now open for dinner on Thursday and Friday nights. Check the web site for the dinner menu for the week. We have had many dinners here, most recently Oct '10. Just be sure to save room for the many great desserts! BYOW.

Favorite Dish: We always select one of the daily specials.

    55 Main: Try the Appetizers!

by marca Updated Mar 20, 2009
    Evening Shot of 55 Main

Visited 55 Main with a party of 8 to celebrate by son's birthday. We sampled 4 of the 6 different appetizers from the regular menu. All were presented nicely and were very tasty. My entre was a Pork Shank with was served still on a huge bone but was very meaty.

Chef Jonas trys to use local products when possible. On the other hand, at our last visit, they offered Wild Boar as a special!

by marca Written Jul 19, 2005

    2 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

This tea house is a great addition to Main Street. Enjoy a nice relaxing pot of tea on the porch overlooking the front garden and Main Street.

Hours are 11am - 5pm but are closed Monday and Tuesday

Favorite Dish: Any of the sandwiches with a pot of tea. Good selection of all varieties of tea. Small gift shop is inside.
