  • Just a really Great Gathering Place!

When you walk in you just know you are in a 'friendly place'. Everyone is polite and friendly. The young and old all are here always. Glassboro is home to Rowan University so you do get a good share of students. For the most part they are very well behaved. The Landmark also has an attached nightclub called 'The Spot'. After 9 pm you will find most...

  • Great Italian American food, nice...

8 years ago when I first went to the Italian Affair with my Italian exchange student friends I was convinced the place was a gem. It was a little local secret, tucked away in a stripmall next to superfresh. But it didn't take long for the secret about the "Affair" to get out and since my discovery the owners have had to move and expand twice. Now...

  • College student staple food

There's nothing special about Taco Bell except the extraordinary amount of food you get for very little money. The food is slightly better for you than traditional fast food. The biggest factor in my desire to eat there is the rock bottom prices. When I was a college student all I needed to do was find some coins on the floor in my car and I could...

Glassboro Nightlife

  • Trendy new Nightclub

This place is getting good reviews from the kids on campus, but I wouldn't go there because it's a sorority/frat hangout and that's not my scene. It sits on the former site of the Franklin House which was demolished to make way for this new establishment. The Franlkin House was 250 year old Inn turned into a bar and rooming house. It was a very...

  • Classic college-town bar

Drink, drink, drink. Pick up a date. Drink some more. This place is not big on ambiance. It's a college spot, so it's safe and clean and drinks are expensive. Not a lot of insight needed here. The university kids go here because it's within walking distance, so ambiance is not a factor. The place was always packed when I was a student, so it was a...

  • Used Books and Furniture in college-town...

Earthy, artsy college town feel with groovy used books where you can cruise the stacks, take your time and not feel like a criminal. A total granola-hippie experience. This place gets an A+ from me for authenticity. Used books & furniture mostly reasonably priced

  • The perfect college coffeeshop

Finally! A place for the weary college student to chill that doesn't revolve around alcohol. I wish it had been open when I was a student. It's a totally artsy and earth loving java joint. This is a tree-huggers paradise, and I felt very at home and comfortable here. Granted a cup of coffe was 2 and a half dollars but as you read the mission...

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Parking in Glassboro can be really tricky. You have to be sure to read all signs indicating where and when you are allowed to park INCLUDING the signs when you enter town, which lay out rules that apply to the whole town. I think the town must make a lot of revenue of off tickets and get their jollies harrassing anyone they might suspect is a college student because they will give you a parking ticket in heartbeat! Route 47, which is the main thoroughfare in Glassboro, is extremely treacherous. Use care on this road and watch out for maniac south Jersey drivers.

Glassboro has one of the nicest Shoprites in south Jersey. Whenever I got bored, that's where I went. (Isn't that pathetic?) They have a really good food court at the entrance of the store-- best thing is the antipasto. Yum
