There are a number of places in Mahwah that attract butterflies in the summer and early fall
This is a monarch butterfly in Secor Farms Nursery in East Mahwah
The town library on Ridge Road on the south side has a whole bank of butterfly bushes
and is also a place where they are frequently seen

In Mahwah there lives a really successful (rich) Elvis impersonator, who has the best Christmas lights I've ever seen. There is hardly an area on his entire property which is not covered in lights. He lives on a corner house, so he has 2 sides of property, a lake, and the actual house to decorate - and it is AMAZING. If you are in Mahwah in December, go to his house after 9pm you will not regret it.
