New Brunswick's original restaurant, a family-run favorite for 35 years. All-American cuisine ranging from sauteed chicken or shrimp with pasta, to prime rib and steaks, 10oz burgers, and great sandwitches. The atmosphere is inviting and casual, with an exposed beam cathedral ceiling, wood booths and room for larger parties. Antique electric trains circle the room on request.

Good food here, American with an Asian flair. On the weekend nights they turn it into a night club. Very nice venue. Just don't get the sashimi. I don't know why, but it is so small here! I thought it was a garnish to my other food when I got it!

This place is quite pricey. There are many fine dining places in New Brunswick, but you can find something for every budget. Anyway, this restaurant won the America's Top Tables Award and is the most winning restaurant in New Jersey Monthly's Reader's Poll History. I'll let that speak for itself.

This place is famous around here first and foremost as a martini bar. They have a huge menu of every imaginable kind of martini, or you can design your own if you don't see the combination that suits you. As far as food goes, I've only had appetizers there, but they were very tasty.

The Northstar Cafe is a happening little Art Deco place with live music from Wednesday to Saturday nights after 10pm. They serve Mediterranean inspired foods and have a really really big tapas menu, and also an excellent, huge selection of wines. The bartender is my friend, so tip her well!

Rutgers University and its neighbor, Princeton, played the first game of intercollegiate football on Nov. 6, 1869, on a plot of ground where the present-day Rutgers gymnasium now stands in New Brunswick, N.J. Rutgers won that first game, 6-4.

This is an authentic recreation of a 19th Century New Orleans bistro, with French Creole food. There is live Blues and R&B on weekends, as well as dj and dancing.
