Entrance to Buccleuch Park..have fun! by seamandrew Buccleuch Park is one of New Brunswicks largest parks and has several running trails and many fields dedication for various activities. Many residents visit this park all year round and it's no wonder why. It's a great escape from the normal stresses of life. Located on the grounds of the park is the Buccleuch Mansion. I don't really know the history but our understanding is that this land used to belong to the Buccleuch family and it was donated as a park. I could be wrong. I suppose I have some investigatiing to do. Leave a Comment Directions: Off of Easton Avenue between Huntington Street and Lincoln Place. Look for St. Peter's Medical Center.

by katmag New Brunswick is pretty much split into two. There is the college part of town which centers on College Avenue and Easton Avenue. This is where all the dive bars are. The business/downtown section where all the restaurants and theatres are centers around George Street. The train station is right in the middle, and thus, is very accessible. Here is an intersection at Easton Ave. Leave a Comment

by katmag There are several grease trucks in a parking lot on the College Avenue campus. They serve some very good sandwiches called Fat Cat, Fat Dick, Fat Moon, and other Fat things. The cool thing about them is that everything you would normally have on the side like french fries or mozzarella sticks are inside the sandwich. this food is very very good, but i can't say the same for the nutritional content. by katmag Downtown New Brunswick is a very happening place during the day and weekend nights. There are many people walking around and shopping, or just socializing. On weekday nights there aren't nearly as many people, but you can still find some and have fun, especially in popular bars/restaurants like Harvest Moon or SoHo (see my restaurant page for addresses). Even though it's part of Rutgers, it's a great art museum. Recently remodeled, it has some great permanent exhibits as well as temporary ones that will take your breath away. Many special events like recitals are held here as well. Last time I was there, I saw a great exhibit of photos taken before the Taliban took hold of Afghanistan and photos of the same people and places after the Taliban. Amazing difference.
