The boardwalk is a great activity to experience at night. You can watch all sorts of people walk up and down the board, go in and out of the shops, even play with light sticks! And if you get there early enough to catch a sunset, the sky will light up and awe you!

Dress Code: flip flops !

Ocean City has been a dry town since its founding, but anyone who has been to a "Night in Venice" party knows that while you might not be able to buy adult beverages on the island, that doesn't stop anyone from partaking in them. Most nightlife from the prohibition perod on has been private house parties. Ocean City used to be a city of huge "shore houses" that would sleep big families. Several families would rent a big house for a week, going to the beach during the day and having house parties at night. Granted one does have to supply more of thier own fun than folks do in Wildwood or AC. If you want a great OC experience, get a group of your friends together, rent a house and don't forget to stop at Circle Liquors on the way over the 9th st. bridge.
Many of the Somers Point liquor stores deliver to the island (good idea by the way, keeps those who run out from driving over the bridge to get more).

The boardwalk in Ocean City is the main attraction at night. There are stores, amusements and restaurants from 6th Street to 16th Street. Ocean City is a dry town so don't expect adult beverages at the restaurants. My favorite part of the boardwalk is away from the restaurants between 1st and 5th street where you can get un-obstructed views like this.

Dress Code: Casual attire including bathing suits in the warm months. Make sure you where some kind of shoe on the boardwalk to avoid nasty splinters!

If you're looking for a party, OC is not the right barrier island. The craziest it gets is on Thursday night, aka Family Night, at the Boardwalk. Oh yeah, brace yourself for Barber shop quartets and men on stilts.

The real nightlife for adults is in nearby Atlantic City and on the mainland. Somers Point, on the bayside serves up some great local pubs and fun dockside performances by Blues and Jazz musicians at the Bubba Mac Blues Shack.

Walked by this place during the afternoon. I was intrigued and gently persuaded my husband into taking me back that night for the poet/singer/dancer/musician entertainer.

I found it delightful. My husband was uncomfortable sitting at a dainty wrought iron table with a cup of cappacino before him. He's a 700 level Eagles fan, if that helps to explain it...

In the summer months, The Boardwalk is filled with people of all ages. There are amusement parks, arcades, restaurants, movie theaters, The Music Pier (on left, live concerts), and many stores to help you spend your important tourist dollars.
No alchohol or bars. Safe for the wholle family.

Dress Code: Casual, shoes are required because of the mean splinters.

There is no nitelife in Ocean City aside from the boardwalk. Ocean City is a 'dry town' and alcohol is forbidden. The best place to hang out at night is the boardwalk; the lights, the food, the games and of course, the people, make the boards the best place! There is also a strip of eateries and places to hang out running parallel to the boardwalk from around 8th Street to 2nd Street.

Nice bar overlooking the Bay. Outside deck, great for a summers evening or a warm summers afternoon.
Sunday Nights are the best night to visit. Live Music and a DJ.

Ocean City is a dry town. No alchohol is allowed to be sold in town. You must bring your spirits in from the neighboring towns. The boardwalk is the main evening attraction.
