Princeton University is a fantastic academic institution and is very respectable within the Ivy League with regard to its athletic program, but on a national scale, they're not exactly big time. However, their men's basketball team has received some national notoriety with some gutty performances in the NCAA tournament. Check them out if you're here during college basketball season.

Winter, Summer, Spring, and Fall this is one of my most favorite places to go for long walks. The canal itself 36 miles along a path runs along much of it especially through the Princeton-Kingston corridor.

The Herrontown Woods is a great little hidden away wooded area to hike through. It's located on142 acres right in Princeton and offers more than three miles of color-coded trails. I never even knew it existed until recently. We enjoyed a great hike.

A 650 acre Natural Preservation Site set aside in Plainsboro, NJ.
This site was the location of a former Sand Mining Operation. Now, all that's left is a beautiful lake and acres of forest with hiking trails.
