try the Tiffany Diner on Rt. 17: Land of the New Jersey Diner!

    by saigon_mal Written Feb 17, 2003

Opened in 1974. Tied for the best Diner in New Jersey in my opinion. Early Bird specials are cheap and always too much to eat.

Favorite Dish: Hot open turkey. Served on white bread with tons of gravey and french fries on the side.

Brady's at the Station: A nice bar

    by bliss7 Updated Apr 27, 2006

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Brady's at the Station is a nice bar that can get pretty good on the weekends, or even weeknights. It was recently renovated, and the upstairs is very nice, with a large, well-stocked bar, occasional live entertainment, high tables, normal tables, and an outdoor patio area overlooking the bustling activity on Main Street of Ramsey. I use "bustling" with extreme sarcasm. :)

If you're in town for a night, and want to go out for a drink, Brady's is probably the best place to go.

April 2006 update: New Jersey just banned smoking in all indoor commercial establishments, with the exception of tax-generating casinos. (of course!). So, if you are a smoker, be warned. At Brady's they do have an outdoor terrace where you can still smoke, it will be open if it's nice weather (May-Sept).

Ramsey Local Customs

A local custom in northern New Jersey occurs two or three times in winter, when local citizens congregate and decide to allow, through a democratic process, tons of snow to be dumped from the skies and blanket our town. This usually happens on a weekend to ensure that local employees have absolutely no chance at getting a free day off from work.

Dinner is served.... snow! Dude, where's my car??? Yeah, we're gonna have to cancel that barbecue... Are these seats taken? The side of my home
