The Inbetween Cafe by VeronicaG The InBetween Cafe is a small, but lively eatery serving breakfast and lunch daily. Our stop-in time is usually after church on Sunday for a hearty breakfast, but lately I've taken friends there for lunch. The crowd is friendly and the owners, Bob and Ginny are the best! Ginny always has the cafe decorated nicely whether for holidays or any day, she makes sure it has a homey feel. Theresa, our favorite waitress, makes sure your coffee is hot and the meals are served promptly. Bob is extraordinary in his preparation of the meals, which are fresh and tasty--highlighting new dishes regularly! My all-time favorite breakfast is the stuffed croissaint with cream cheese filling, topped with fresh strawberries--this almost always is gone before we get there. Another favorite is the three fruit crepe just oozing with whatever fruit is in season. My husband says Bob makes the best Split Pea Soup he has ever tasted! The InBetween is open daily for breakfast and lunch Mon.-Sat. 7 am-3pm; Sun. 8am-3pm. The Broadway Grill by VeronicaG The Broadway Grill is located on the main street of Red Bank. The restaurant decor leans towards the theatrical--movie stars peer down from colorful walls as patrons enjoy their tasty meals! Broadway Grill features two-for-one night on Mondays--a hamburger or cheeseburger "special" accompanied by waffle fries, served hot and crispy! It's the bargain of the week and featured at the dinner hour. My husband and I come here often for the burger special---the service is quick and the wait staff friendly.

TEAK by VeronicaG Teak specializes in Asian-Fusion dishes. It's packed on the weekends, especially in the summer when its oversized windows open to the night air, sending the hum of convivial conversation to the skies. My favorite dish is chicken teriyaki--normally served with yams, but I order Peruvian mashed potatoes instead--believe me, they are great! I don't ordinarily eat potatoes, but there is something surprisingly different about their preparation--I throw caution to the wind, permit myself to add the extra calories and enjoy! There are two dining areas: one is towards the front of the restaurant where one can feel the summer breezes when the windows are opened; the other area is in the back of the restaurant which is cozy and more dimly lit.

The Dublin House by VeronicaG The Dublin House is an Irish Pub/Restaurant featuring live music on the weekends and a popular gathering spot for those frequenting Red Bank. We love coming here in the summer on Saturday nights to enjoy the outdoor dining and people watch. Live music is provided and things are hoppin'! If the tables are filled, nearby benches provide seating within earshot of the music. Meals are served indoors, also. The house specialty is Corned Beef and Cabbage--Guinness Stout is a big thing here! We tried an assorted cheese appetizer tray that was great, but most likely we'll stop by for the music and a glass of wine. Teeny,Tiny Hot Dog Shop by VeronicaG That Hot Dog Place is a tiny little eatery that has the reputation for excellent homemade soups and dogs. I've never stopped by when it isn't crowded with hungry patrons. There is no seating and barely enough room to move around, but it's a popular place in Red Bank.

La Pastaria by VeronicaG La Pastaria has moved two doors down from its original location--but don't worry it's the same wonderfully Italian restaurant. The Old World decor adds so much to the dining experience. The menu features typical Italian fare like Alfredo or Chicken Parmesan, but also includes pizza. It's a byo restaurant, so they don't mind setting up an ice bucket for the wine you bring in. La Pastaria is a popular place for dinner, but they don't take reservations. There is not always a wait, but usually on weekends you'll find a short line. You'll enjoy just about anything you order here and you'll enjoy the romantic atmospherel. Buono Sera by VeronicaG The Old World Decor and two tiered dining areas make Buono Sera a pleasant restaurant to visit, but the noise level always detracts from our dining experience. The acoustics are terrible and it is often difficult to carry on a conversation at your table, however, the food more than makes up for the raucous atmosphere. If you realize this ahead, perhaps it won't be so bothersome. Each entree we've ordered has been delicious! There is limited outdoor dining on the sidewalk along a heavily traveled street, so we opt to dine indoors. Go with an appetite and you won't be disappointed!

No Ordinary Joe's by VeronicaG No Ordinary Joe's is a small eatery/coffeehouse located on the main street in Red Bank. When you walk through the door blends of aromatic coffee titilate your nostrils! It's a small place with coffee bar in the front of the shop and dining area in the back. A few tables are outside along the sidewalk for people watching. My favorite sandwich is turkey with cranberry sauce--a fantastic combination! No Ordinary Joe's is a great place to stop for lunch when hitting the shops of Red Bank, because it's conveniently located and serves tasty fare.

Savanna by VeronicaG Tapas in this Mediterranean style dining room is a delicious experience. We decided to try the meat and cheese sampler with a sprinkling of fruit and nuts for $24.00 and the small assorted spreads on flat bread for $12.00 with a glass of white wine to complete the order. Our choices were tasty, but we thought a bit pricey. The wait staff was competent and atmosphere very relaxing. We would recommend an evening out at Savanna. Tapas in New Jersey? Why not! It brought to mind our trip to Spain many years ago and it was great reliving those memories. Parking is free.

Dish by VeronicaG Red Bank was featuring price fixe specials during March of this year at several popular restaurants. Dish was one of the restaurants participating. It is located in a small, unassuming building off the main street. The interior was sophisticated in its decor--the style of cooking is described as American with Mediterranean twist. I ordered a specially prepared pork chop that was tender and full of flavor. The intimate atmosphere and good service contributed to a nice dining experience, but a noisy one. If you want to be able to discuss the day's events with each other, you'll find it necessary to raise your voice to be heard above the chatter. Enjoy Dish for it's wonderful cooking and presentation--catch up on news later. Prices seemed to range from $16 to $30 or so. UPDATE: Reservations are taken during the week, but not on Saturday. Dish is now opened on Sundays. Thanks for the info. ,Shorelady!
