Lafayette Village: Antiques galore

by kazander

This picturesque little town is teeming with antique shops all within a few blocks of each other. You could go for hours and not get through them all! There is also an art gallery, some craft shops and a cafe or two. Not to mention that just down the road are some outlets that are also worth a stop. We like to do our Christmas shopping in Lafayette, it has something for everyone!. Stop by the Chocolate Goat for all types of treats. Not only do they have a wonderful selection of candy, but lots of Christamas ornaments, Bath products, candles and other goodies. Some things are very expensive, some are deals. Lou likes to charm the older ladies into giving us better prices, hey it always works!

Jersey Gardens: Best Shopping Mall

by amynrehimi

New Jersey is home to the most malls per square mile out of all 50 states. It is without a doubt that many of us spend A LOT of time in these malls and most can proudly say that they've been to a mall in the past couple weeks. One of the best malls is the Jersey Gardens. With an abundance of name brand shops and a great Food Court Jersey mall can be a thrilling day long outing. Brand name stores include Abercrombie and Fitch, American Eagle, Hollister, Tommy Hilfigure.......the list goes on. The mall could be a great place to visit if you have stopover in New jersey since it is so close to the Airport.DirectionsShuttle from Newark International Airport AirTrain Station P4  Leaves AirTrain station every 30 minutes from 10 am to 8pm (Sunday from 11 am - 6pm) Returns from Jersey Gardens every 30 minutes from 10:15am to 8:45 pm (Sunday from 11:15 am - 6:45 pm) Average...

Modell's Sporting Goods: Gotta go to Mo's

by b1bob

This is one of those Northeastern tips as Modell's has stores from New York on down to Northern Virginia (which is culturally part of the Northeast). It is a big chain, but has been owned and operated by the same family since 1889. All manner of sportwear, fan gear for whatever team is local to the area (mainly northeastern teams- I doubt you will find Carolina Panthers gear there- I looked), plus things like baseballs, catcher's mitts, footballs, basketballs, etc.

Menlo Park Mall: Menlo Park Mall

by b1bob

The mall leans a bit to the snooty side with the anchor stores being Macy's and Nordstrom. However, with more than 175 stores including Musicland, K.B. Toys, Sharper Image, an Odeon Cineplex, etc., there is something for everybody.UPDATE: I will no longer buy anything at this mall or any other by the same management (Simon Group) because they evicted a tenant based on the content of his store and applied this standard only to this vendor. If you're interested, write me an e-mail for more details.
