The town of Shrewsbury has historic charm and a lovely shopping area. THE GROVE is comprised of a collection of shops that draw the discerning customer from miles around. Fortunately for me, I lived only a few blocks from it!
Not only do you find shopping here, but on Wednesday evenings in the summer musicians entertain the shop-til-you-drop crowd. On two occasions, my husband and I packed up our folding chairs to attend one of these events. Everything was very casual and laid back, we really enjoyed the music.
At certain times during the summer, lectures on gardening take place. Last year a neighbor and I signed up for a garden tour which studied the landscaped areas of the mall--there was much to learn about the significance of the combination of plantings and their particular needs. Up until that moment, I barely noticed the landscape.
