The Waterfront Restaurant: The Waterfront Restaurant

    by SURFIN7TH Updated Feb 13, 2007

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Great outside deck with live music on weekends. Go by boat or car. Free docking for patrons, $5 cover charge on Sundays.

I left this picture up even though the Waterfront was sold and changed to Sails restaurant. Well now Sails is closed and someone new is going to give it a shot!

It will be fun to have a new bar to go to by boat!

Two pool tables, local crowd, great food, great beer, DJ, big screen TV, separate dining area.

After the September 11th fire that almost took the Anchorage, they are finally open again.

The whole community pulled together to get their favorite establishment up and running!

    Caroline's: Fridays in the summer

by sjcherno Written Jul 13, 2006

Because of its huge deck, Caroline's gets packed on Friday nights in the summer with a young, good looking crowd (21-40). Then, if you return Saturday, you are not likely to find it as packed. It is as if everyone leaves Somers Point.

In the winter it also gets packed on Fridays, but it is a little scary. The locals keep to themselves and before the smoking ban, you couldn't breathe.

It is quicker to get a drink outside than in. Inside there is usually a DJ and a small dance floor. Outside, it is just talking to good friends, while enjoying good drinks. Also good for people watching as well.

The Anchorage: A Somers Point staple

by sjcherno Written Jul 13, 2006

For nightlife (winter or summer) it gets pretty packed with locals (and shoebees in the summer), with Thursday nights being the best nights where Guiness and Miller Lite are on special. Weekends are good in the off-season, can be sporadic on the late night summer weekend. Most people go to Caroline's on Friday and probably now to AC on Sat.

The bartenders are good too. They're usually busy, but will always find you; you don't have to wait long for a drink.
