The food here is good. Its a diner. Nothing too special. I would eat in though. When you get stuff to go, the bread ( if you have bread, like a sandwich or something ) is soggy. I don't think they know how to wrap stuff to go very well , But then again it could have just been the person that wrapped my stuff that day. The Point Diner , is like , from a sci fi movie. The people are weird , and idk ....Otherwise the food was tasty, and I would deff go back.

Caroline's Bar & Restaurant is a nice place to come on a warm summer night. The staff walks around and takes your photo for free ( and yes , they let you keep it ) The food is pretty good, but the bar is just okay. Nothing too special , but the atmosphere is nice. Very chill , and you can relax outdoor on the deck. Bring a light sweatshirt, it tends to get breezy at night.
Favorite Dish: Anything is good
The breakfast is really good. The staff is really rude. I always get the same thing, and somehow the price is different every time. I think they just wing it, and don't have a set price for a lot of things. They staff doesn't really smile very much, they are very, "wham bam thank you ma'am", get it, get out is the feeling I get. Especially during the rush house of lunch time.
Favorite Dish: bacon, egg & cheese on a croissant
Michael Anthony's Pizza is another of of my fav's to order lunch from. I usually stick to the chicken Caesar salads, but sometimes get pizza, or even an Italian sub, or sometimes a cheese steak! Everything is good, and I recommend it !
Hot Bagels is my savior for lunch almost every other day while I am at work . They have the best bagels I have ever sunk my teeth into. Im talking hot, toasted, bagels, with so many spreads you cant keep track. Hot grilled ham & cheese bagels; bacon, egg & cheese bagels; etc. They are so amazingly awesome , and the people who work there are so nice. They ever deliver if you ask nicely!
Favorite Dish: its a toss up : Hot grilled ham & cheese bagels; bacon, egg & cheese bagels

The food really depends on the times. When I first moved here in 2000, the food was excellent, then it went down for a while. I was told that the main cook left. As of summer 2006, the food is better. There is a dining area or you can eat in the main bar or on the deck (when the weather is good).
For nightlife (winter or summer) it gets pretty packed with locals (and shoebees in the summer), with Thursday nights being the best nights where Guiness and Miller Lite are on special. Weekends are good in the off-season, can be sporadic on the late night summer weekend. Most people go to Caroline's on Friday and probably now to AC on Sat.
The bartenders are good too. They're usually busy, but will always find you; you don't have to wait long for a drink.
Favorite Dish: The fried mushrooms are a great bet for an appetizer.
Smitty's as the locals call it, is BYOB. Bring your favorite beer or wine, pour it in thier plastic cups and have a drink while you wait for your table and while you eat. They do serve soft drinks so don't bring your Mountain Dew. Its a popular spot so the wait can be long on weekends. It's fun to hang out there while you wait. You can sit outside and people watch.
Favorite Dish: Manhatten clam chowder and fried flounder with frenc fries and cole slaw.
The Anchorage Tavern, Bay Ave. Est. 1888

Favorite Dish: Dungeoness crab dip for App.
Great Crab Cakes, Cheeseburgers, and South Western meals.
Some good brews on tap, Guiness, Harp, Fosters, Sam Adams, Yeungling.
Great earlybird special, expect a wait to be seated.
Nice lounge to wet your whistle while waiting.
