I just found the most incredible Somers Point website for moms.

www.momjunction.com

It's a free interactive local website that lets Moms manage their personal universe – household, circle of family & friends, local community. You can keep a family calendar, organize & share photos, trade, buy & sell outgrown stuff. You can give and get opinions on local doctors, restaurants, daycare & much more. Local events, sales, seminars, support groups and more are listed. I have it as a constant on my desktop and check it daily for anything new.

Two Tin Crows is a cute little country gift store. I went in here a few times because they sell chocolate biscotti. But other than that, they have beautiful pashmima's and other throw's & wraps. They have the cutest cards for all types of holidays and occasions, they sell fudge and candy, as well as homemade decorations and such for your house. A perfect store for gifts.

What to buy: Anything you want!

What to pay: A little expensive, but not bad

If you want to drink 'real' beer, Schooners has the best selection of imported beers in town. As Richiedisc pointed out, its not as good as it used to be. But if everyone that visits Somers Point requests their favorite beer, maybe the variety will get better again. So its your duty to travelers to bring back the old days at Schooners. They need a cook also.

the Dolphin dock has all the Bait and Tackle you need for a day of fishing. Rob and Joan will take good care of you, including letting you know where the fish are biting and what they're biting on. You say you don't have a boat? They even have rental boats from 14' to 20' and rental equipment. Don't forget there are fishing piers and bridges close by along with jetties and beach fishing. You can't go wrong.

Equipment: You name it, they've got it. Just bring your credit card :-)

Favorite thing: See the town from the water. Grab dinner on the bay.

Fondest memory: During the summer many of the bars and restaurants along the bay have transient docks. The Waterfront Bar and Restaurant, on left, Has live music on the weekends and the deck gets packed. Its great to go there by boat. On the far right is the Anchorage and in between is Smitty's and a couple marinas.
