    Uncle Bill's Pancake House: Pancakes

    by Always7696 Written Sep 6, 2004

It serves pancakes and other breakfast foods. This includes area foods like scrapple and pork roll. Sort of like an IHOP without the commerical look.

Favorite Dish: Banana Pecan Pancakes. This is the only dish I tried here. Not as expected. It was three plain pancakes with sliced bananas on top and crushed pecans sprinkled all over.

The pancakes were stuck together like the plate had set awhile. This made speading butter difficult without tearing the pancakes.

I have ordered the pecan pancakes from IHOP and they were better. The pecans were mixed into the batter and served with special syrup.

9812 (an address and a name): Seashore Nouelle

by dogears Updated Jun 29, 2003

Hip place with a "proto-Dolche & Gabana" decor - lace curtains, dark corners, candles, raised platforms. Nothng can be too pretentious in Stone Harbor. Yes, BYOB - buy your own booze from Fred's Tavern, three blocks away.

Favorite Dish: Warm hearted chef makes consistantly good food with creative sauces, but not too heavy after a hot day in the sun.

Fish Tales: All the good restaurants in town are BYOB

by dogears Updated Jun 29, 2003

One of only three good restaurants in town, serving up no nonsense seafood and other entrees. Cloth napkins but still down to earth. Make reservations and expect to wait for ten minues anyway. BYOB - Bring your own booze.

Kushimbo Japanese Restaurant: Don't Miss The Fresh Seafood!

by dogears Updated Jun 29, 2003

The only Japanese restaurant for miles & the food happens to be very good. The owner has a restaurant in Florida for the winter and spends his summers here.

Favorite Dish: Creative sushi dishes. Reserations required. BYOB - the Fred's Liquor Store is on the way.

Bradley's: Best Cheese Steaks at Bradley's

by dogears Updated Jun 29, 2003
Actual sandwich is larger than image

The bread is the key factor that makes this the best "cheezasteaka" for miles around - a classic italian "hero" or "hoagie" roll. Real meat and cheefe. Call ahead to make your order, usuall ready for pick-up about twenty minutes later.
    ::

Favorite Dish: Chicken Cheese Steak with a perfect Black & White milk shake. That's nine bucks for this meal, but one steak sandwich can easily feed two people.
