Tour the recently restored NJ State House.
This is the second-oldest capitol in continuous use in the US. The restoration of the dome has made it beautiful from both inside and out. Don't miss the combination gas/electric lights in the Assembly chamber. Electricity was still new and unreliable when Edison installed the lights.
The tours are concise and interesting.
