The only method of public transportation that can bring you to Vineland is the NJ Transit Bus. There are 3 buses that provide regular service to and from Vineland:
313- Runs from Cape May and Wildwood to Philadelphia with many stops along the way.
408- Runs from Millville to Philadelphia with many stops along the way including Glassboro.
553- This is the bus that locals without cars use. The route runs through the county from Bridgeton to Millville, then throughout Vineland- stopping at the Cumberland Mall, the college, hospital and bus terminal located downtown. From there the bus continues on the Mays Landing and then Atlantic City.

You need a car to get around!
Vineland is a huge town and the bus only traverses the 3 major arteries in town. It's virtually impossible to get around without a car, unless you plan to take a cab. Vineland is very easy to get to via Route 55, which runs parallel with the major artery in Vineland, Route 47. Route 55 runs north/south along Vineland and has 5 exits spaced from one end of town to the other. 47 is very congested, so Route 55 is the quickest way to get from one point to the other if you are on the west side of Vineland.
Vineland is easy to navigate because, with the exception of far east Vineland (little Italy) the town is a perfect grid.
