    The Boulevard

The areas in center city aren't particularly safe... especially in the 'grid' created by Delsea Drive & East Avenue, Park Avenue & Chestnut Avenue. The numbered streets in the vecinity of the Boulevard (where the train tracks are) in town are best avoided unless you're looking to get mugged or score drugs. Only thing worth stopping for is some good Mexican or Puerto Rican food. It's not a neighborhood to take a stroll in though. (I grew up there-- I know.)

    Delsea Drive

Delsea Drive (Route 47) is a VERY dangerous road. It's an important thoroughfare and hard to avoid, but use caution-- south jersey drivers are idiots and are agressive drivers. Delsea Drive has one of the highest death tolls in the nation.
