Martha's is known throughout Albuquerque for it's quirky nature, and fun products. It's an adult store - expecially for women. The clerks are knowledgeable and fun. The store is well lit, and does not have that slimey atmosphere you might find in other stores of the same genre. As a matter of fact, the store if full of happiness and giggles.
The toy selection is meager at times since this is not their main focus. Despite this deficit, the toys that are presented are specific to a woman's needs :) The lingerie is well made, and the clerks are great at helping customers with proper sizing and even your own presentatin in said garment .... gentle honesty is a wonderful trait.
What to buy: You can buy lotions, potions, lingerie, 'toys', and all sorts of fun things that any woman would love :) They even have local and international jewelry .....
What to pay: Prices vary according to the type of item you are interested in ... from $10 to $150 .... browse and enjoy .....

I had an afternoon to walk around downtown Albuquerque and shop and that is how I came across this place.
I enjoyed shopping here because in addition to loving the look of everything they had on the racks, the woman who worked there was extremely helpful without trying to force a sale out of me. Nothing aggravates me more than a pushy salesperson, and who really wants to deal with that when you are shopping for your lacey underthings! Well, there was no hovering or harrassment here, so that was great.
Everything for sale basically fell into the simple, feminine, and subtly sexy catagory. I did notice however that there was a small back room featuring some - eh hem - marital aid type products and some lingerie of the black-clingy-pleather variety. I'm assuming these things were tucked away in the back because those products are a little more 'forward' then sexy sleepwear or a pair of panties.
What to buy: Everything here seemed to be of a very good quality. Some things were way out of my price range (over $200 for a trendy french bustier) but others were just right for a good quality bra with a little flair. I was impressed to see that no matter what the garment, this store offered a full range of sizes. By this I mean that you didn't have to actually be a Victoria's Secret model just to look like one. Finally, this isn't a chain store. I saw many unique things here that I haven't seen in the usual chain store catalogs.
What to pay: If you usally buy your panties in a 3 pack from Target like I do, then this is kind of an expensive shop. It is worth it though if you want to purchase a few top quality items that make you look and feel great!
