    Aztec Ruins is a national monument under the National Park Service. It preserves ruins from the height of the Chaco Culture in this area and is located in Northwest New Mexico near the town of Aztec. You will start your tour of Aztec National Monument, at the visitors center. In the visitors center are helpful rangers who can advise you on how to best enjoy your visit given your interests and the time you have available. Entrance is $5 per person unless you have a pass. The $5 grants you access for 7 days. The park is open from 8 AM to 5 PM year round with extended hours to 8 AM to 6 PM from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
