Photo Equipment: ( Bring what you need plus extra film or memory cards )

Miscellaneous: Generally packing for a hike is common sense ~ but sometimes even the most common items are overlooked. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes ... there is a lot of walking. Also, if you have medical issues, be sure you travel with your meds and a buddy! Bring water.

Luggage and bags: Bring a small flashlight. It will really help show additional detail on some of the formations.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Comfortable shoes with good traction are a must on the descent and ascent out of the natural entrance.

Photo Equipment: Taking a picture in Carlsbad Caverns challenges all of your photographic abilities. Make sure your camera batteries are fully charged and watch out for bounce back from park lit cave formations.
