Mora is a town of about 4000 located in North Central New Mexico. Mora was founded in 1835 although it was occupied by Hispanic settlers well before that. Today, Mora is still about 85% Hispanic. Mora is the county seat of Mora County. The town and the county took their names from that of several families that settled in the area. Frankly I did not see that much of interest here; although the town, and the drive to it, is in a pretty area.
