Off the highway, between Bloomfield and the Choco Culture National Historical Park there is a small establishment run by missionaries.
The Navajo people do not like to associate with outsiders - for the most part. It is part of their culture. Many of them, however, have a difficult life due to the lack of employment in the area.
Therefore, this shop provides a vital point of trade between local Navajos and the outside world.
What to buy: Local artists are very talented. Ceramics (such as pictured here) and many many other things are available here. Different items come in each time one of the local artists drops by to sell to the trading post.
