There are a few, Casa Blanca for mexican, Bonney's for that Santa Fa feel, River's Edge Eatery for fantastic wraps and for a good steak I hear Cattle Baron is great.
Prices for River's Edge Eatery $5-$8,Casa Blanca and Bonney's $8-$17, Cattle Baron higher (not quite sure never been there yet).

The have handmade tortilla chips to die for and their queso is superb! There is a huge fire place inside, creating a cozy ambience.

A little place along the road into Ruidoso with bits of history (Route 66, 50's sock hops, gas station signs, etc.) hung all over the walls and great food.
The chili-dog was HUGE! I had a chicken-fried steak a couple of days later, and it was really great! It was the first time I've ever had a chick-fried steak for breakfast (kinda weird!) and the first one I've had outside of Texas. During the day, this place offers great family fun. Included for kids is a game room with not only arcade games, but also home system consoles so kids can sit and play as if they were home. For the grown-up kids, a foosball and pool table are also there to goof around with. And if its beer you're after, this place offers eight microbrews to sample, and cases to buy if you enjoy.
