Tucumcari Things to Do

  • Historic Buildings of the 1950's

There are still a fair number of buildings that show how the town was once a mecca of tourism on the way west. Today, it is much less traffic, but still the townfolk try to keep things "alive"

  • City museum

This was a great museum that was packed with artifacts of the old days, and memorabilia of the families that lived/live here. It was a treat to see such detail of things saved and displayed on the three floors, plus outlaying buildings.

Tucumcari Restaurants

  • Good Food, Good Price, Great Steakhouse

$11 as of June 2014. K-Bob's are located various places in the Southwest; they serve steaks, seafood and chicken. They also have a nice salad bar and soup. My food was well prepared and with the soup and salad bar filled me up. The decor was decent and the service good. Grilled Catfish with Chuckwagon Rice. Broccoli and Cheese Soup.

  • Great service, good food and fun place!

Recommended by the security guys at Flying J, we two women headed to Pow Wow for a late Sunday afternoon meal. Although we had missed the buffet, they filled us plates from the kitchen. Ham, turkey, roast beef, all sorts of fresh vegetables...it was a feast and the food was excellent. The employees were very friendly, it was a fun place (we left...

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

For many years this has served Route 66 as a roadside restaurant. Now it still serves as a flower shop and gifts. So there is still life here and it is still being appreciated.
