Adirondack State Park Things to Do

The Wild Center is a definite five star day in the Adirondacks. First, there is no better place to get up close to nature. It may seem strange to say in a six million acre park, but this place has nailed it. You can see things here you never would - and it really helps you see more. We spent five hours, and felt like we could go back. We switched from presentations by the great staff, movies on their huge screen, hiking down to the river, back for more animals. The kids spent 30 minutes on this cool machine that let's you see your voice sound waves matched to a bird call. We even watched their solar hot water system in action - (of course it has labels that tell how it works) have to get one of those at home. The reviews are right - this one is one of the best, and a perfect way to get in touch with the Adirondacks.
