Favorite thing: Alex Bay is wired for video. They have a dozen web cams in various stores, along the streets, over the marinas. And now you can have a look at what is going on at A-Bay.

Favorite thing: The Alexandria Bay has a lot more marinas than it does churches or centers of worship.
Maybe it is a mis-placed sense of priorities.
There are three main places of worship in the immediate area:

Favorite thing: The Thousand Islands are actually composed of around 1864 islands (the guide told us that nobody's really sure) and lie just off Alexandria Bay near the US-Canadian border.

Alexandria Bay, NY.... Gateway to the 1000 Islands

This small Bay town used to be the playground for millionaires who wanted to show off their fancy boats and island hop for hunting adventures. Today it's a quaint town where visitors are most often......

if you havent been it cant be described especially if your a history buff i only know i want to go back again and again
I spent part of my honeymoon in and around the Thousand Islands 23 years ago! It's a lovely place. I'll dig out some photos so watch this space.
