Bemus Point is a small Village popular to visitors. They enjoy the Lake. Several Popular Restraunts, The Casino for Food and I think they still serve Drinks and some entertainment, and The Surf Club. I like to Bike there for Ice Cream.

The Ferry has been replaced for regular traffic by The Vetrans Memorial Bridge, RT 86 accross the Lake. Its now just mostly for pleasure.

One way to get to Bemus or Stow is by the Bemus- Stow Ferry.It runs during the summer. Price is $4.00 for a car and $2 for a Motorcycle and $1 per person eachway walking or with Bike. Semis and Busses use to cross the Lake on it. They would put them in the middle with cars on the sides. I am not sure if they still are aloud on it. I was on A school Bus one time that went accross it. Weird.

The Ferry has sank before as you can see. It was in the winter when the Lake Level was low and it froze to the bottem so when the Lake level rose it was flooded. I think this is the only time.

Just 3 Miles from Bemus Point in Maple Springs New York(Part of Bemus) is Midway Park. And old small amusement Park. With many,many of the same rides I rode as a child, now My Kids get to ride. Is on Chautauqua Lake. There is a Museum at the Gift Shop I like to visit. Here is the Fortune Teller that was in the Arcade when I was Younger. It still works after all these Years.

Favorite thing: Welcome To Bemus Point New York. Bemus is Located at about the half way Point On Chautauqua Lake. It is a Summer Tourist Heaven. Fishing,Swimming, and Eating. It has some of Chautauqua Countys Best Restraunts. Ice Fishing in Popular in the Winter and Boating and Water Skiing are Super Fantastic.
Fondest memory: Its a Great place to ride My Bike to. I love to get icecream and ride the Bemus/Stow Ferry.

Favorite thing: Midway Park in Maple Springs is part of Bemus Point. Its an old Park with most of the rides that I rode as a kid. Picture is tiltAwhirl. I rode this last year and had to call in sick at work. My head is still spinning. Kids can ride this forever but not me.

Favorite thing: The Bemus- Stow Ferry has been running for over 100 years. It use to be the main way to cut over 20 miles off the route around Chautauqua Lake.

Favorite thing: The Old Train at Midway. I bet this is worth a lot of money. Still runs Great.

Favorite thing: Midways Roller Coaster. I think this Coaster has traveled more Miles than a large one at a Big Amusement Park. Midway keeps their rides in great shape. Thank God the Kids are old enough finally to ride by Themselves. My back cant take it anymore.
