Cooking all the time
Ok. The headline is a bit misleading unless you know me. I cook with my phone. Its just the way I do it. It is easier, and cost effective if i can stay at work an hour longer, instead of cooking myself.

The "Bronx" Accent
The "Bronx" Accent is a very distinct one. Liz was born and raised in the Bronx but for the most part you'd never know by her everyday speech (she does an excellent job is disguising it). Only when she is tired or gets mad does her "Bronx" come out. Her "ing" from the word running becomes "runnin". Then comes the mix of Italian and English words...It's quite amusing honestly...almost a Marissa Tomei from my cousin Vinny....
Subway Stained Glass
Here's something you might not expect: a Bronx subway station with art. The 231st Street station in the Kingsbridge section of town (#1 Train) features stained glass designed by Felipe Galindo, entitled "Magic Realism in Kingsbridge." On your way to exploring this section of the Bronx, pause a bit and enjoy the artwork.
You can also find artwork at other stations in the Bronx, including 167th Street (B,D); 174th Street (2,5); Bronx Park East (2); Prospect Avenue (2,5); Woodlawn (4); and Neried Avenue (2).

When driving in the Bronx, you...
When driving in the Bronx, you never, ever, pull in to a parking space at the curb. You 'double park', a car width away from, and, preferably blocking at least one perfectly good legal space, (should any one be foolish enough to want to park legally), meter or otherwise. Also, the shortest distance between two points is almost always a U-turn.
There are many good...
There are many good restaurants in the Bronx. Many times it seems that you have a choice of Italian, Italian, or, Italian, at least in my neighborhood (Northeast Bronx). You might hear what you think of as Pasta with Tomato Sauce referred to as Macaroni and Gravy. Also, a ubiquitous side dish at these restaurants is the 'Potato Croquette'. They're tasty; I just never encountered them in Italian restuarants before I lived in the Bronx.
There are distinct...
There are distinct neighborhoods still alive in Da Bronx. Bainbridge Avenue/Fordham Road has been an Irish neighborhood for decades and new immigrants are still arriving. There are still large concentrations of Jewish families/Hispanic families and African families living alongside new immigrants from all over the world. If you speak Spanish, you will get along very well with many locals.
Most Saturday's and or Sunday's in the Summer when the Yankees are in town we BarBQ prior to the game.
