Brawta is both a neighborhood restaurant and a magnet for New Yorkers and tourists alike. Great atmosphere, great food and a fun and friendly place. Plus, the prices are low- something that's not easy to come by in Brooklyn anymore.
Favorite Dish: Anything and everything Jamaican is on the menu, or as they say "big tings and likkle tings."
There is a wonderful variety of foods here. The drinks are tasty and tangy, the macaroni and cheese is a meal in itself, and the dishes are bursting with flavor.
If you like jerk chicken, spices, amazing lemonade, and the West Indian Day parade fare, you'll love Brawta.
Favorite Dish: I usually get the mac and cheese to share and one of the pasta dishes with veggies. It's the spices that make the meals. Mmmm.
