Tom's Restaurant: Lots of pretty plastic flowers and BKLN attitude!

This is an amazing experience! Your hosts, as it says on the business card, are Constantin (Gus) and Nonie Vlahavas.

It's a do-able walk from the BKLN Museum or the Botanic Gardens on a good day. It's a diner with great drinks (Lime Rickey, anyone?) and lovely food. Lots of choices to please anyone.

Diner stuff, mostly. Great eggs and potatoes. The decor is a trip. Colorful, crowded, loud, fun.

Favorite Dish: I loved the eggs and potatoes I got. The lemonade was delicious, too. It's really about the experience, though.

Caveat: It gets CROWDED quickly. If you want a weekend brunch that's calm and quiet...put it off. The wait is fun, and when we went they were handing out orange quarters to those of us waiting outside. It was hot out!
