    New York Transit Museum

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Interesting interactive museum that details the history of NYC mass transit. Great old subway cars that you can sit in. Admission used to be a subway token and it's located in a decommissioned subway station. HOWEVER, THIS MUSEUM IS UNDERGOING RENOVATIONS AND WILL NOT REOPEN UNTIL 2003. As of June 2003, it still hasn't reopened and there is not tentative date however when it does, it will be possible to enjoy excursions on restored old subways. In the meanwhile, there is a gallery annex in Grand Central Station which displays transit memorabilia.
