Lollypop Farm is the petting zoo attached to the Humane Society. The organization is aimed at helping save the lives of abandoned and mistreated animals.
The fenced in area is safe for kids of all ages as long as they are supervised by an adult. There are goats and llamas, deer and burros, dogs and cats, lambs and sheep and a few chickens. Kids can buy a cup of food for each animal type and feed and pet the critters for as long as the animals will allow it.

There are always special events on the weekends such as the Barktober Fest in October where you can bring a dog and enter him in simple contests that show his speed, agility and ability to take commands. Dog races through an obstacle course; simple tricks like sit, roll-over and beg; jumping through hoops and over borders. Come and watch or bring your pet and enter. They have other events like the annial pet photo contest and they also conduct seminars on pet related topics.

    Lollypop Farm is open:
    Tues. - Fri. 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
    Sat., Sun., & Mon. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
A nominal donation is expected to help keep the animals safe and sound.

    visit Casa Larga Vineyard

This vineyard does not give official tours except on a few scheduled occassions (see website below) but you can walk around parts of the premises and take pictures of the beautiful buildings and the lovely landscape high in the hills of Fairport.
You can taste samples of the wines you would care to purchase any day of the week from 12pm to 5pm.
The establishment supports special events and festivals to which the public is invited (see the website for details). They have an extensive list of wines available in their wine shop along with special occasion baskets and momentos you may wish to purchase as gifts for friends and relatives.

Come on out to Casa Larga and see it for yourself.
We have had some relatives who chose this venue as their wedding reception with rave reviews among family members.

    to get there:
    2287 Turk Hill Road
I-490 exit onto route 31 (Pittsford/Palmyra), head east on route 31 then south on Turk Hill Road and see the signs.
