The best in Flushing in terms of Cantonese food & Dim Sum. The price may be higher than other Dim Sum Restaurant in Flushing but its totally worth it. Wide & a great variety of dim sum selection, dinner menu is innovative & tradition.

Sentosa Flushing

Sentosa means "peace in Malaysians" is a place I use to eat at this place when it was in Chinatown Manhattan now in Flushing Queens. The Place is clean and very nice now but still has not Americanized the Malay food at all. Much of Malay food has a spicy Shrimp paste fishy taste (belacan) that many Americans do not like so in the Americanized version they seem to add sugar, tone down the spicy and take out the fish taste. But oh no not here has all the pungent shrimp belacan paste characteristic of Malaysian cuisine.

Please note it is a Cash Only place but 3 of us eat a lot for $40.

Favorite Dish: One of my favorite foods in the world is Roti oh so tasty -- The Roti Canai is $3.00 here (an outrage for former Singapore residents) but the Roti Canai her is so very light, thin and flaky. This is a crispy Crepe like dish with oh so tasty slightly spicy Coconut curry and it had big chunks of Chicken breast in it

The restaurant is modern and has a computer on every table for you to surf net or watch movies or play computer games.

Basically it is a sushi place combine with the japanese hot pot (shabu Shabu) .
You have a pot of soup & you order meat or noodles to eat with.
They got sauce bar & it is self-serve for sauce/
Tips is still required but it is most of the time self serve.
The table have drawers that you can find everything from napkins to forks & spoons.
It comes with some vegetables when you order the hot pot dish.
Price is a bit high but if you need a nice place to surf the net, this is the place for you

Favorite Dish: Hot pot with chicken soup base + prime beef slices

Grill For Cooking Korean Main Dish

I don't know the name of the restaurant in Flushing where I ate but I was the only woman and the only non Korean person in the room. I was also the only one who spoke English although it is possible that eveyone else did too, but not in this eating spot. So I tried to imagine what it was like to be in Korea alone. This is probably the closest that I will get to going there.

Favorite Dish: I have no idea what I ate other than the kim chee. It was very good though and I would go back and eat it again.

OK so you really can't just come in and dine, it is a catering place. But the scenery is magnificent.
