After years of visiting Hurleyville, my mother and I finally visited the museum. It was no Museum of Natural History, but we had a fine time. The Frederick A. Cook exhibit and its video were engaging. The “general store” was amusing. The exhibit with old-fashioned phonographs and recordings was fabulous. I was glad to see the room with work by contemporary local artists.

Take route 17 (soon to be interstate 86) to Monticello. From the east take exit 105 and from the west take 105B.
Go to stop light and make left, go approximately 7 miles, at stop sign make right go down steep hill and you are there.
