Ithaca's Winery-Six Mile Creek Vineyard
Nestled on the southwest slope of one of Ithaca's most picturesque settings, Six Mile Creek Vineyard is a boutique winery featuring a variety of hand-crafted wines. As a family partnership, Nancy and Roger Battistella handle all aspects of the business from concept to production, with additional support from a dedicated staff committed to making your visit enjoyable. The winery is housed in a splendidly restored turn-of-the-century Dutch-reform barn in which tasting room visitors are charmed by spectacular views of Six Mile Creek valley and vineyards, along with landscaped gardens.
Located within minutes of Cornell University and Ithaca College, as well as the beautifully developed Downtown Ithaca area, our winery is a hub for information on local tourism including restaurants, shopping facilities, lodgings, and nearby state parks. As a member of the Cayuga Wine Trail since 1987, we collaborate closely with neighboring wineries to increase consumer knowledge and enjoyment of wines produced within the area. Positioned at the southern-most end of the Cayuga Wine Trail, our winery is an excellent starting point to begin your wine tour.

Pick local Ithaca beer and wine
When in restaurants in Ithaca, if you feel like trying something local, you can try Ithaca beer and wines.
The Ithaca beer is called "Ithaca Nut Brown" and availble almost everywhere. It's definitely not a shabby beer, but rather delicious!
The Cayuga and Finger Lakes region also has its own wine. If you want to try a local wine, just ask the waiter what he or she recommend. They usually have one or more Cayuga wines on their menu.

Facetime at Cornell is the expression for the activity of seeing and being seen. A typical Cornelian will go to places (i.e. The Straight at lunchtime, Uris library to study) in order to "get Facetime".
I have never heard this expression being used outside of Cornell.
Though Cornell has a national student body
Though Cornell has a national student body the population is decidedly New York City. Though 'the city ' is 250 miles away..You will hear more Noo Yawk accents than anything else...mostly from Lon Guylandh..
