If you are looking for a delicious meal and an unforgettable view of the south shores of Long Island, then this is the place to go. We were in New York visiting relatives and also got the opportunity to meet with fello VT'er sayville...the meeting took place at this restaurant. Please be aware that a $20 parking fee is collected at the entrance of the Boardwalk Restaurant parking lot (this fee is a refundable-deposit for access to the Restaurant) and the server will refund the money at the completion of your meal.
Favorite Dish: Sayville selected The Captree (1/2 lb. of grilled choice sirloin with mozzarella cheese, lettuce, tomato, crisp bacon, fries and pickle served atop a Kaiser bun).
LJ had the Lobster Bisque (a traditional bisque with fresh lobster, cream, brandy and herbs served with crostini) as well as the Crème Brûlée Cheesecake (classic style Crème Angalise, caramelized sugar and strawberries with sauce drizzled on the plate).
I had the Boardwalk Crab Cake Sandwich (a generous size of delicately mixed/seasoned crabmeat, caper aioli, lettuce and tomato served on a Kaiser bun) with cole slaw and pickle on the side.
One more thing before I forget, my meal came with lemon on the side (to enhance the flavor of the crab cakes), but it wasn't your everyday presentation, the lemon was in a sachet where I could squeeze the juice (onto the crab cake) and not have to worry about the seeds or pulp getting on my meal. A smart move don't you think?.

Favorite thing: Come early if you what good place to view from and to get a good place to park.It gets very crowded ,and you may end up begin turn away. There is about 1 million people that show up here for the two day and some people park about 4 miles away then had to walk to beach, there are no shuttle buses.
