We parked behind the Restaurant and the BBQ aroma from Famous Dave's almost enticed us. The restaurant was larger than it appeared with an open kitchen, over 200 tables & a huge wine cellar with ladder behind the bar. The leather booth was very comfortable & quiet.
Happy Hour is 4:00 to 7:00 daily at the bar with $5. pizza's, $3. drafts, $4. wines & martini's for $5.
Service was attentive & impeccable, portions were large we brought home a meal.
Favorite Dish: The thousands of wines on the well organized list covered the gamut. Reasonable California's started at $22. bottle, half bottles, wine flights and a page of wines by the glass were available. We enjoyed watching the wine seward use a ladder throughout the room to retrieve bottles.
We enjoyed the Sunset Special from 5:00 to 6:30 daily. We selected entree's over $20. and had a choice of soup or salad & a desert.
The warm bread & butter was delish. We started with Hearts of Romaine Caesar Salad with Pecorino Romano & a memorable Onion & Mushroom Soup with Pinot Grigio.
The Veal and Braised Beef Bolognese with Baby Mushrooms, Parmigiana and Rigatoni was perfectly prepared. The Pan Roasted Long Island Duck Breast Truffle-Honey Glazed with Almond and Autumn Fruit Wild Rice Pilaf, Red Wine Demi was full of fresh flavors & textures.
Deserts were not a disappointment. The 3 scoop ice cream sundae & flour-less chocolate cake with fudge sauce & whipped cream hit the spot.
We enjoyed the three-course lunch served weekdays from noon to 2 p.m. The choices on the menu were soup, salmon, sald, Sea scallops, filet mignon and profiteroles were among them.
The dinner menu was more expensive, more courses & just delish.
Service was impeccable.
Favorite Dish: I don't think you could go wrong.
Fun restaurant decorated with license plates from around the country. Paper is on the tables & crayons are provided. The chips are made in house & are wonderful with salsa. All of the Mexican platters are large and good, so are desserts. We like the Happy Hour with half price margarita's; the bar can be fun
Casual & small bakery with a counter & half dozen tables in the back. Diane's has assorted fresh salads & 3 varieties of panini's. The panini grill cooks each to perfection. Deserts look pretty good too.
Favorite Dish: Salads & panini's
Cozy restaurant has a fun black and white cow theme. There are always lines out the door; but they seem to move quickly. Service is friendly and efficient.
Only breakfast & lunch are serviced. The typical breakfast menu is fresh & delicious. Portions of food are enough for two. Lunch sandwiches, salads & burgers were also enormous & enough for sharing.
A pretty quaint restaurant with views of a pond. Service was prompt & efficient. The bread & relish tray were wonderful. We enjoyed our fresh salads with homemade dressing. We shared an appetizer tower of seafood; raw clams & oysters, cooked shrimp, 1/2 lobster & scallops came with dipping sauces. Then we shared a platter of baked fish & seafood.
Favorite Dish: Anything that swims
I have never had such wonderful sushi; everything else is a disappointment. The oysters melt in our mouths, the unique sushi rolls fill a page in the menu. The Japanese dishes did not disappoint.
Patrons line up in the street prior to opening. Weekend prime time, the wait can be hours as reservations aren't accepted.
Wait staff is knowledgeable and efficient. Restaurant is small but soothing Asian ambiance is evident.
Favorite Dish: Everything & Anything!
We went to Nagashima in 2003 on one of our first dates. We returned to this place after 5 years in 2008 and were really happy to find it still in busines and still serving really great sushi.
Sushi in Nagashima is less crafty than the one in Sushi Ya, but to thir advantage, they have a full cooked menu. If you are not so nuts about sushi, you can have fantastic Japanese cooked dinner.
Quality of the fish in Nagashima is spectacular.

Barocco is a perfect place for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just for coffee and a gossip with your best friend.
The interior is spectacular and there is a great summer garden behind restaurant.
Favorite Dish: We love eggs with salmon, and all their seafood tapas dishes.
Azerbaijan is a great break from sushi for us. It is conviniently located close to the biggest Long Island Mall in Westbury. Place has a great atmosphere, about 12 tables, and great service (unless they are training someone new :-)
Favorite Dish: We usually get there Falafel Platter, which consists of 3 large falafel balls, fabulus rice, hummus and grilled vegetable. We also enjoy their appetaizers like Sigara Borek, Kashkeh Badenjan, Buran..... all right, just check their web site!!!
Sushi Ya sarted as a small restaurant in Rockville Centre on Merrick road. Few years ago it had only 4 tables. We going here at leas once a week. In about 2006 Sushi Ya moved up he block to a new larger locaion. Now rsauran is a medium size (about 10 tables of four + bar), but it still retain he same amosphere.
Tony is the chef/owner and Wendy, his wife greats you at the door.
Favorite Dish: The rolls in Sushi Ya are very innovative.
Our favorite is Sushi Ya #2. It has chopped clams on the top. We olso love the Vulcano Roll.
The quality of he fish is outstanding. We come to Sushi Ya since 2003 and we never had a bad meal.
We love to travel, and to eat food all over the world, but so far, we are eager to go home and swing by our favorite Sushi Ya.
Good food and good service are lacking at this establishment. The fried flounder and chicken sandwich were tasteless. I asked for the relish for the chcken on the side. It came on the sandwich. We never received our carafe of water with lemon slices. I waited ten minutes for lemon slices for my tasteless chicken. One tip - do NOT wear jeans and sneakers or ride a motorcycle to this restaurant. You will be treated like second class citizens. Instead wear silly looking floppy hats and those ugly brightly colored plastic shoes. One couple came in matching stripes with their dog in a baby carriage. Did we forget it was Halloween? The dog was pulled close enough to the table that it could have eaten from the table! Another gentleman had on extremely tight red, white and pink print pants with a pink shirt. A single diner had on loafers with no socks, tight trousers and a tucked in T-shirt that barely covered his large stomach. But, do NOT wear jeans and sneakers or ride in on a motorcycle! The staff is very inexperienced. The food is overpriced ($56 for two sandwiches and four bottled beers). Thank goodness there's a water view or you'd really feel like you were taken. My husband still left a large tip (probably more than the silly looking hat and shoe people left). He has a bad habit of overtipping because he feels these young people work hard. But, none of the staff there that day deserved a tip. They were actually rude. My husband overheard one of the staff say, "Did they leave yet?" The other staff member replied, "No the bike is still in the parking lot." How crass and unprofessional! Please note that my husband and I are in our early 50s and our Honda motorcyle is very quiet. The jeans and sneakers were for safety while riding. Do yourself a favor and eat at any other restaurant on Dune Road. You will find a warm, friendly and experienced staff, something sorely lacking at Dockers! And remember, if you still decide to go to Dockers, do NOT wear jeans and sneakers or arrive on a motorcycle!
Favorite Dish: Your best bet may be a salad.
Delicious food and cheap, I recommend the "Bandeja Paisa" of typical dish. It comes with rice, beans, salad, sweet plantain, avocado and egg. Also your choice of a half chicken, ground beef, or flank steak( my favorite) The entire dish costs only about $8.95 and cannot be finished in one sitting unless you have a very big stomach. I defenitely recommend this restaurant if you like traditional Colombian food and friendly servers!
I feel like I'm back in NY! The Baked Clams were awesome, the portions were amazing.
I can't tell you what a good time we had. This was our fifth or sixth time there and we love it.
Mickey and Julio are great! We felt like family.
Excellent Job Guys ....... Much Success
Favorite Dish: Baked Clams, Meat Balls, Ling White Clams Sauce, Red Snapper Cartuccio, Chicken Scarparello, Cicken Parmaigia, Shrimp Marinara, We ate so much
The steak is nice and the price is absolute affordable. They also have the largest steak in the US, 76 OZ steak. If you can finish it in an hour, it's FREE and you get a free T-Shirt. I didn't dare to try, but you may try it.
Favorite Dish: Prime Rib 24OZ
Bay Back Ribs with BBQ beans
