Waters Edge: Delicious food & magnificant views

by apbeaches Updated Mar 7, 2010

Beautiful restaurant right on the East River with spectacular views of Manahattan. Impeccable service, elegant restaurant and the food is pretty impressive. This is where my husband proposed, so yes it is our place!

Favorite Dish: Everything is just wonderful; you can't go wrong!

Court City Diner: Trying an American Tradition

by Orchid Written Aug 23, 2013

Court Square Diner has all the features of the 'classic American Diner', the stainless steel exterior. the counter and the booth seating, an extensive and relatively economical menu.

There is a heavy emphasis on fried or grilled food, for example: fried eggs, bacon, hamburgers, hot dogs, hash browns, waffles, pancakes, omelettes, deep fried chicken, patty melts, and sausages. These are often accompanied by baked beans, french fries, cole slaw, or toast

We came in search of fried clams, another childhood memory of my wife. It was perhaps a case of 'never mind the quality, feel the width', because there was more dough than clam evident (more like hush puppies). The chips however, were tasty.

At lunchtime the place was busy, full of groups of workmates out for lunch. Service was efficient and friendly.
