This country club is a refreshing spot of civilization out in the boondocks. It is a semi-private organization that allows public golf when members or tournaments are not in play if you call in 24-hours in advance of the tee time. (see phone number below).
Normal prices are $25 for a round but they have all kinds of discounts for age and day of week and time of year and also special packages at reduced prices.
The course is fairly difficult with tight fairways and deep rough and several water hazards. There are plenty of elevation changes to confuse club selection. Playing with wild power will get you nothing but grief (darn!). This is a course where finesse and control are the strengths you want to use. There are sand traps guarding the greens and trees right in the line of sight and streams to punch over. It can be a long morning if your game is not on.
But no matter how the game goes, they have a great bar and grill where you can soothe your tired muscles, quench your thirst and fill your belly with good food.
The pro shop is a must-stop before you start out to make sure you have some extra balls (you are going to a lose one or two today) and to get some tips on how to play.
Didn't bring your own clubs on vacation? No problem here because they have full and partial sets to rent (at reasonable cost).
The driving range only costs $3 for a bucket and is good for loosening up those tight muscles from all the car driving you have been doing n vacation.
