One of the most well known area of Manhattan...Times Square. Between 42nd and 48th street there is a spot where Broadway and seventh make a lazy "X"...that is where you will find Times Square. Up until the mid to late 80s, Times Square was a bit "seedy" with it's porn, prositution corners, high crime and theft rate. However, after the resurgence of interest and a mega face lift, Times Square is back to it's former glory. Times Square is residence to Good Morning America, MTV, WWE New York, ESPN Zone, Virgin Megastore, and the world's largest video screen, proported to be 8 stories tall. Some well known eateries in Times Square are Chevy's Tex/Mex Grill, Applebee's, Planet Hollywood, Leo Lindy's, home of the Lindy's New York cheesecakes, and of course McDonalds. And we must not forget...Times Square is the home of the ever popular Dick Clark's New Year's Eve Bash. Leave a Comment Website: www.timessquarebid.org

Central Park is a MUST-DO thing when you are in Manhattan. Particularly in spring, the cherry blossoms and other trees are flowering. It is beautiful! You have 2 choices: first take a subway towards Metropolitan Museum of Art (in the East side) and enter the park that way. Or Subway to the West side, and enter via Strawberry Fields. I recommend the Western route. This is because as you walk past Strawberry Fields, there is a little booth with a very helpful man in it who can give you tips and directions and a map of Central Park! Leave a Comment
