How can you go wrong for $20; that's the price of 18 holes. Probably costs that much in gas to get here.
Twenty-five years ago, Frank Novickas took over the grounds operations on this course and turned it into a place that has won the Tompkins County Top Course Award.
It is not a bad course to play as long as you study the score card and talk to the people in the pro shop first. The fairways start opened up and then narrow down to greens that are guarded by trees and sand. Changes in elevation and little streams at all the wrong places cause you to second guess your club choice. Greens that are mounded and have water both in front and behind do not make for a happy shot for a duffer like me.
The proprietor has seasonal specials that include reductions in both golf course fees and motel costs when you sign-up to golf here and stay at one of the designated hostels. (call number below for details).
The restaurant on the property has a good selection of beveraegs and finger foods for lunch. They also have a full dinner menu but we have never been there that late in the afternoon.
