GREAT burgers and surprisingly delicious sushi! The ambiance is very relaxed, beachy, and had live music playing. And a plus is that it is very convenient because it is right near the train station. It really is a great place to grab dinner, enjoy live music, and maybe drink some frozen treats. Highly recommend this place!
Favorite Dish:
Peperoni Pizza Burger...very unique and absolutely tasty!
The Dock is one of those places where not only the food but the surroundings and your fellow clientèle will provide you with entertainment.
The menu offers a wide selection but is driven by the fact that this seaside town still has a very active fishing fleet - so good seafood abounds on the menu.
Favorite Dish:
I had a cup of Montauk Clam Chowder for starters (I simply had to taste it) and then a fish burger with a side of coleslaw. Both were delicious and fresh with the coleslaw being excellent and creamy.
we had a wonderful lunch on a beautiful day overlooking the fishing docks at the Inlet Seafood Restaurant. there's a couple of decks on the second floor with great views of the water any time of day or evening. the staff was friendly and attentive.
Favorite Dish:
my wife had some grilled scallops and vegetables, that were done to perfection.
i had some fish tacos, that were done as well as could be, and they were...ok.
on the road to Montauk, on highway 27, on the outskirts of Amagansett, you'll notice a restaurant with a large sign declaring, "Lunch".
after being on the road for a couple of hours this is a welcome sight.
officially the name of the place is the Lobster Roll.
believe it or not, most of the items on the menu are seafood.
entering or leaving Montauk you have to make a stop at the Lobster Roll for a delicious bite to eat.
Favorite Dish:
my wife loves the Lobster salad platter - very large portions.
i go for the classic Lobster roll.
Although when I visit this spot they were not serving food, I believe they do it during the high season.
With or without food, it's located in a gorgeous place on top a cliff from where you can see an amazing sunset across the lake/bay while having a drink outside or in the bar.
Favorite Dish:
My choice was Blue Point on tap, the local beer... a very nice one!!
I remembered a couple of roadside stands on the way in back before the town of Montauk. Yukijohn was in desperate need of a crab cake and a little something else. We tend to never bring enough munchies for the beach and the sun and saltwater bring on an appetite which always needs a tapping soon after. On the way out we stopped over at Cyril's. The parking lot was lined with BMW's and Mercedes. We walked beyond the bushes and was welcomed by a BRO PUNCH from who I was guessing Cyril himself. A bro punch is much like a handshake but instead the dude puts out his fist so you the visitor can make a fist and meet his knuckle to knuckle. Bob Marley set the tone as it softly seeped through the atmosphere and there was a just got back from the beach feeling. Food was no frills, paper plated, and heavy on the sea. We got our mediocre crab cake, some mediocre stuffed mushrooms and a mediocre salad. A Red Stripe wet my mouth and a Bloody Mary moistened Yuki's. Hey...but the bill was also mediocre.
The beautiful new restaurant and bar in their new location down by the docks is spectacular. With the same great food!
Favorite Dish:
My favorite dish is the filet mignon with ***ake mushrooms, or is it the chicken marsala over garlic mashed potatoes, or is it the lobster ravioli, or it might be the grilled swordfish with sundried tomato risotto?? I always start with one of their delicious salads - try their mesclun greens, and I finish off with a piece of carrot cake or lemon sorbetto. I have not had anything that was not surperb!
