No matter how brave and adventurous you might get to feel when travelling along Long Island, never, never, go to the bars that are away from towns or located somewhere along the road. Of course we were crazy enough to do such a thing. That night we were driving along the coast close to Montauk looking for a place to have one more drink. It was very dark and there was no signs of life anywhere. All of a sudden we saw a light and a pub. It was very quiet in there and we were too drunk to notice that people were looking at us strangely. We were half through the beer when this huge guy comes in and hits my brother on the shoulder on purpose. At this moment another guy sitting next to us at the bar warned us that we were at the wrong place. At the same moment we paid and left the place. We didn't even get to the car yet when the big noise and fight started in there. It looked scary...
be very very aware of deer crossing the roads around Montauk. they come out mainly in the mornings, early evenings, and night. drive slowly and cautiously - when in Montauk what's your rush anyway?
