CENTRAL PARK: Must explore this wonderful place... Aside from the beautiful landscaping and amazing views of the city, there's much much more to it. If your a people watcher, this is your place, finding a comfortable seat is simple and the charechters you will see and sometimes even meet pass on by in quick succession.
Fondest memory: The people, despite all of the warnings I was given before moving up here, I've found that the people I've met so far have been absolutly wonderful. It's like any other place the personalities are a bit stronger but aside from that I have met some really great people from all over the world.
Have a walk at Central Park
Fondest memory: The Central Park is the biggest park in Manhattan. It is located just in the heart of the island, between two avenues and two streets!?! You can't miss it.
A lot of New Yorkers come here (or at least they used to) for a walk, some jogging, a picnic, play some sports, etc. Also a lot of police detectives come here undercover (usually reading newspapers while wearing sunglasses in the middle of the night) to observe the exchange of suitcases, usually containing ransom money for someone's son or daughter. I guess i should stop watching so many movies.
No really, the Central Park is a lovely spot. It was my first impression of New York and it was great. Me and my sister used to come here every day near lunchtime to eat a snack and relax.
Go down to Central Park on a Sunday morning...!! Walking through the park and just shooting the breeze is the best way to spend a Sunday...!
Fondest memory: New Years Eve in Times Square, and a fantastic meal in Mr.Tangs on Mott Street in Chinatown..!
Central Park too!!
I send my support to all police, fireman and soldiers around the world who fight against the terrorism.
In Argentina we suffer that in 70´s and 90´s. It´s horrible. But always appears men and women who fight against terrorist, and win the war.
God bless the fighters!
Explore Central Park - you'll be amazed at the natural world you'll discover if you spend some time in the park.
Fondest memory: The best thing about New York is opportunity the city presents to all. Anything and everything you could possibly desire can be found in New York - you simply have to know where to find it. There's no place like Central Park in Spring...
Central Park. I'm sure that mostly everyone heard of this large and beautiful park that lies in the heart of the city. I think it gives you a special feeling to walk into this huge gym and see lots of people jogging, playing basketball, baseball and all kinds of sports.
Fondest memory: I loved to be there and what I miss the most is the atmosphere of New York, the life in this amazing city.
stroll through CENTRAL PARK (it's just next to the Plaza Hotel.... and across the street from my favorite toy store - FAO Schwartz!).
However, DON'T wander into the park after sun set. I've heard enough scary REAL-LIFE stories to deter me from heading towards that direction! This is still New York after all... and every precaution must be heeded and taken to heart. ;-)
Visit Central Park - Its beautiful. When you get tired of the hustle and bustle of the city being in Central park is like being somewhere completely different.
During the summer people cycle round the paths, or blade, jog or walk. You can even get a massage in the middle of the park, there are mini discos going on and also people having blading competitions. For those that just want to chill you can just sprawl out on the grass and sunbathe.
Fondest memory: Wandering round after having just finished working at the Olympics, relaxing ready to fly back to the UK
Favorite thing: The Dairy existed before the area was made into Central Park. The Victorian Gothic building houses the Visitor Centre and is the place to visit to obtain information about the park.
Favorite thing: The photo shows the statue of Christian Anderson in Central Park. I grew up reading some of his stories. Nice to meet him in person. The statue is larger than life and properly captures his spirit.
I guess it's true-you can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl.
My favorite NYC spot is Central Park.
Central Park was my favourite part of NYC.
Fondest memory: I used to spend so much time here. There are so many beautiful walks, things to see, places to visit. It's an oasis or relative calm in a fast city.
Wo would have known there was this giant sculpture of Alice in Wonderland.
Ok, Ok, I had to climb it!!
These are the bravest, cutest and most hungrey squirrels I have every come across...
Fondest memory: ... the would eat pretzels right outa your hand - sooooo cute.
The Alice in Wonderland Statue in Central Park was wonderful.
Fondest memory: I had seen it in a Sarah Jessica Parker Movie ('If Lucy Fell') and it was fabulous to see and touch it for myself.
