Rockefeller Center, New York City
pop by ROCKEFELLER CENTER to shop, dine and just generally chill out!! I loooove hanging out here. You can also pay a visit to the NBC Studios (yeah, and catch Matt Lauer in action..!). But do call up first to enquire.
Fondest memory: Can you spot ROCKEFELLER CENTER's most famous monument?
Why yes, it's the golden statue of Prometheus. Behind the statue is the impressive GE Building. I heard from my New York colleagues that around the Christmas period (winter), this whole plaza turns into an ice-skating rink! In summer, an al fresco restaurant occupies this space. Next time, I'm coming to New York in winter!!!!!!
Favorite thing: This photo was taken purely because Wayne liked all the colours in the shop window. Its in the Rockefeller centre, and as Valentines Day was only days away, the window displays were lovely.
Rockafeller Center at Fith Ave. and 50th
Fondest memory: This is at its best during the Christmas holiday season.
Fondest memory: I guess everybody and their aunt has been there, but it is still the place to go and see the ice-skaters in winter, and have a good cup of hot coffee later.
Favorite thing: Last stroll thru New York by night, before having to leave this exciting city the next day. Another view of worldfamous Rockefeller Plaza.
Favorite thing: Rockefeller Center has been invaded by giant spiders. Mommy a 34-footer and two 12-foot babies. These three creepy crawlers were created by 90 year old surrealist Louise Bourgeois.
Favorite thing: Visit Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall. Radio City is famous for its annual Christmas show.
